Our Process
1. Moving Furniture
Any furniture that is on or in the tile and grout areas will need to be moved to other rooms or carpeted areas before we arrive. We cannot help move larger pieces, such as dining room tables, large cabinets etc. Other large pieces like china cabinets or difficult to remove items can remain in place and we will clean around them.
2. Pre-Inspection
We will inspect all areas to be cleaned, whether it is a tiled floor, back splash, shower, wall, or counter top. We will look for broken or loose grout or damaged tiles. These pre-existing conditions could be made worse during the cleaning process. We cannot be held responsible for these damages and we will set expectations at this time. We will also identify the type of tile and the type of grout you have.
3. Pre-Treatment
We will apply a mild solution to the tile and grout and allow the solution time to dwell on the areas to be cleaned. This dwell time helps provide better cleaning results!
4. Agitation
We will use a special floor brush to thoroughly agitate the pre-treatment into the grout lines and edges along walls. This step of agitation also helps to provide better cleaning results, as it loosens soil, grease, dirt and other contaminants from the grout.
5. Cleaning
We will rinse the tile and grout with hot water that gets over 200 degrees! We will extract the cleaning solution, dirt and contaminants from the pores of the tile and grout. Our floor cleaning tool connects to a powerful vacuum hose which causes the cleaning disk to stay grounded to the floor, and confines the water spray to inside the disk. There is virtually no splash-over. The vacuum hose draws away the water and the dirt to a wastewater tank in our cleaning van. This powerful combination removes most stains and soil.
6. Drying
We recommend using any portable fans you may have in order to dry the floor quickly.
7. Grout Sealing
After cleaning, it is recommended to seal your grout to help prevent re-soiling and to increase the life of your grout. Applying sealer will also make it easier for you to clean your grout in between professional cleanings. Sanded grout is highly porous and allows fluids and dirt to be easily absorbed, resulting in stained or dull looking grout. The sealer does not change the appearance of the floors. Instead, it preserves the natural beauty of the surface.
